By booking or participating in a Curated by Roots in Portugal live engraving event, you acknowledge and agree to the following: Laser Equipment Use A Class 4 laser engraving machine will be in use during the event. The machine is operated exclusively by Curated by Roots in Portugal staff; no guests may handle or operate the equipment. The laser is safe to watch while in use due to its protective cover and built-in shielding. Safety Precautions The engraving area will be monitored at all times and secured to prevent unauthorized access. Guests must remain outside of the designated operating area for their safety. The equipment generates light fumes depending on the material being engraved. An air purifier will be provided in enclosed spaces to reduce fumes. A fire extinguisher and fire blanket will be on site at all times as an additional precaution. Power Requirements The engraving machine requires access to a standard grounded power outlet (110V). If outdoors, a covered or weather-protected power source must be available. Upon request and if applicable, Curated by Roots in Portugal can provide a solar-powered generator for events without available electricity. Engraving Limitations & Material Selection The size of engraving at live events is limited to the capacity of the on-site machine. Materials to be engraved must be selected in advance to ensure they are safe and compatible with the capabilities of the machine. Custom or larger items may be engraved off-site at the Roots in Portugal shop, with completed items available for pickup at a later time. Event Liability Curated by Roots in Portugal takes every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience; however, the company is not responsible for injuries, allergic reactions, or damages arising from the use of the engraving equipment or engraved items. Venue and/or event organizers are responsible for ensuring a suitable and safe space for setup and operation. Curated by Roots in Portugal cannot be held liable if service is canceled due to lack of access, inadequate setup, or if the venue or authorities (such as the fire marshal) deem the environment unsafe. No refunds will be provided under these circumstances. Engraved Items Engraving is permanent and may alter or damage items. Curated by Roots in Portugal is not liable for any dissatisfaction or replacement of items once engraved. Provided items will be available as contracted.
